New and Upcoming

Our first full-length studio album in over a decade, The Habit of Fear, will be released in October 2022. The first single is now available for pre-save. We’ll be releasing it and a few other teaser tracks for free on Bandcamp, but if you prefer iTunes or Spotify, it will be on them and most other streaming services.

The title track from our 2022 album will be released as a single on July 9, 2022.

Upcoming Shows

Sign up for our mailing list and we’ll let you know when the shows are happening, when new music is released, and get exclusive recordings and other goodies as well! We’re working on the songs for a new full-length album.

While we were of course social distancing and staying in our homes as much as possible during the pandemic, Jon streamed a series of mini concerts. Check out the archived 2021-2022 season of the Saturday Matinee live stream series on the Midway Fair YouTube! (The video was choppy in places due to some internet problems, but the audio always came through excellently, so you might treat it like a podcast and listen in the background.)

Recent Recordings

Pirate A.M. Waves is Jon’s 2021 solo album –songs of loneliness, fear, and finding hope in strange places. Highlights include the title track, “Spirit Bear,” “I’m Not a Builder” (a lyrics collaboration with Joe Scala), and “Pildown Man.”

monsters is a 9(?)-track album of home recordings of once and future Midway Fair songs. Be sure to check the Music page for the rest of Midway Fair’s music! Even more music can be found on our members’ sites.

We have a live video! Our full ten-song set from the February 13, 2016 benefit show for Music4More. And it’s not just a video — we got a comprehensive multitrack board and room capture, so the audio sounds great!
